    Glad to know that you are enjoying your retirement!
    I have never visited York . I must go there.
    I am still working on electrons in semiconductors, mostly graphene and related van der Waals materials. I think that I am the only person in UoN Physics who remembers you.

    1. Hi Laurence,
      Good to hear from you, sorry for the very tardy response. Alison and I actually made it back to Nottingham in May, the city has changed a lot since 1980, but we really enjoyed the trip and the Trip to Jerusalem. York is well worth a visit. I have kept in touch with my undergrad mates from Cripps hall, but not the Physics Dept.

      As you can see I do not monitor and maintain this site so well, although I am now training for a 10 day hike around Mont Blanc next July, so posting my training hike details.
